This way I would be able to have my "Ammo optimized minigun", my "Dread killer minigun" and my "Fire minigun" sitting confortably alongside each other. This means that I should be able to create separate weapons, class items, skins, and THEN put them together into a loadout. Items need to stop being all linked together into a single loadout. Rather than going into details about each of the various issues, I'm going to jump into suggestions for a fix. It wouldn't be an issue if the game wasn't officially out with multiple big post launch updates. It honestly feels like some quickly scraped up together contraption for a beta version. It's as if the user experience wasn't thought through at all. I believe this affects a ton of players, including greenbeards.ĭRG's loadout system is riddled with bizarre design decisions that make the experience of creating loadouts extremely weird and complicated, for seemingly no reasons. This shows imo that customization in this game is extremely well done, it's just hard to access for some reason. Meanwhile whenever I took the time and effort to go through with creating builds, I was very satisfied and showed them off to my friends. (I also have pretty bad executive functioning so don't judge me). I want to do it but I don't, or in a very limited manner.

For me it's a real chore to create loadouts, weapons, and skins. Thus having a bad system for loadouts is a huge issue for the game's accessibility. Trying different builds and cosmetics is why you keep playing after promoting all your dwarves. After playing it for a while, DRG's whole appeal is customisation.
